“About to, not already.” Toran replied with heavy gasps.
“Here he comes!” Doruta said.
The robot boosted its jet it walked closer to it. Toran saw the other robot going to the starry sky with the jetpack. The sword robot finally became close enough to slice him. The robot made a stance to kill him.
“Toran!” Mikazuki shouted from the tent.
Toran just lay there. He felt emotionless.
“Its gonna come!” Doruta screamed. “Are you just going to die?”
“Nope,” Toran said. “Im stronger than I look.”
The sword came down.
Suddenly, the ground exploded. The robot came flying and hit another tree.
“Unknown explosion occurred,” The robot said. “No fatal damage. Resuming execution.”
The robot got up. It started to walk towards the explosion.
“Hold.” Toran’s voice echoed.
The robot stopped.
“Looks like you got the wrong guy to execute. Whats more important, a mere execution mission… or your LIFE?” Toran’s voice echoed again.
The robot dashed forward, boosted its jetpack, and went inside the smoke.
The robot flung again, out of there, with Toran following it. He looked normal, except blood covering parts of his body. The robot attacked again, but Toran unleashed a blizzard of wind right out without charging it. The robot flew and Toran teleported behind the robot in less than a second, grabbing its arm and shot a gust of wind right on its stomach. A hole broke out due to the pressure of the wind.
“Circuit drive broken. Cannot move.”
Toran grabbed its head and made a huge dent on its chest.
“Life Source damaged. System cannot reboot.”
Toran smashed it on the ground and kneed the chest, revealing a heart-shaped substance with yellow lines circling through it. He destroyed it.
“Life Source damaged. Cannot be repaired. All systems shutting down. All s..sys…tems… shu..shutting…do…o…wn…..”
Toran got up. He looked at the robot for a period of time.
“… That’s some skill you got there,” Doruta said. “If you were a test subject, I would want to investigate this.”
Toran suddenly, got onto its knees, and put his ahnds out to the ground to stop him from collapsing he was breathing heavily.
“Toran!” Mikazuki was calling him. “Are you okay?”
“I’m fine,” Toran said. “I just need to..”
He started coughing blood. The blood landed on the ground like paint.
“Toran?” Mikazuki said worryingly.
He got up, covered his mouth, and started walking. But about a feet and he crumbled again.
“Don’t be so reckless,” Mikazuki said. “I’ll take you to a hospital.”
“Sorry Mikazuki,” Toran said. “No need, I’m going to get the other robot.”
“No!” Mikazuki shouted. “You’re going to get more injured again!”
“So what? If the townspeople got hurt because I came to this village, its my fault after all.” Toran replied.
Not hearing anymore, he boosted himself using Alaston.
“Toran…” Mikazuki said quietly.
“Let’s see… where did it go?” Toran said
“Toran, go back up. Even if its for the villagers, I need to gurantee your safety.” Doruta said.
“Sorry, this is my own choice,” Toran said.
Suddenly, he saw a small figure right in the clouds. It was the other robot.
“Oh no, now if you just go charging right towards the…” Doruta’s voice faded as Toran dived in.
The robot looked up.
“Target coming into range. Target Exectutor No. 001422 unseen. Commencing action for takedown.”
The robot transformed his hand into a cannon barrel and a laser gun on the other. It boosted its jetpack and came to toran and shot. Like as if he wasn’t there, the bullet went through him.
“How did you…” Doruta started to say.
“If you’re quick enough, its possible.” Toran said without looking.
Toran sprang onto the robot, pushing him towards the ground. The robot aimed for him, but Toran caught its gun with his free hand and cracked it. They were no more than half a mile above the ground. They were both falling. And then, in a sudden turn fo events, the robot looked at its other hand and smacked the cannon barrel right on Toran’s head. Toran widened his eyes and lost control. He felt his arms lifting up, and the robot boosted its jetpack to the sky. Toran, still unmoving was falling until the ground was close to him. He just let himself fall.
Then, Toran smiled. He fell. He fell. And he…
SMACK! Toran hit the ground with dust coming out all over. What happened to Toran?
Mikazuki suddenly came out of the tent. Toran widened his eyes, backed away, and fell down.
“Toran?” Mikazuki said in surprise.
“Um… heh heh…” Toran said nervously.
“Well well, can she be in your team too?” Doruta said.
“I don’t think I should involve her as well…” Toran answered.
“Is that a talking machine?” Mikazuki said.
“How did you know?” Toran said with a laugh.
“I’m a human, you dolt,” Doruta said with an temper.
Mikazuki and Toran started laughing. After that, Toran went inside the tent with Mikazuki and told her everything about the situation he is in.
“Wow, that looks troublesome,” Mikazuki said.
“Yeah, its too sudden for me.” Toran said
“This is fate,” Doruta replied.
“So, I have a question for you,” Toran said. “Mikazuki, why are you living in a tent?”
“I guess you can say I’m poor, or not much money due to some circumstances.”
“I see. Why don’t you ask boys in your school for money or something?”
“Why would I ask them?”
“You’re pretty popular in the school among boys.”
“Well, I just can’t bring myself to ask for money from a classmate.”
“Hehe, guess you’re too nice then.”
They both started laughing again. Suddenly, he sensed a vibration in the device.
“I sense hostile presence.” Doruta said.
Toran stood up and peeks through. Two robots with clawlike hands and a square body was flying around with a clicking jetpack.
“What are those things?” Toran asked.
“…!!” Doruta gasped.
“Whats wrong?” Toran said quietly.
“Get out of there, now!” Doruta said.
The robots looked directly at the tent. They started edging closer.
“You’re too loud,” Toran said. “I dunno what they are, but in order to keep Mikazuki safe, I’ll get out of there.”
Toran dashed away, and the robots looked at him.
“Target confirmed,” One of the robots beeped. “Data classification match. Starting execution.”
“Execution?” Toran exclaimed. “The heck its talking about?”
The other robot transformed its hand into a attached gun. It shot small laser beams, and one grazed Toran’s check, leaving a faint slash as blood trickled through it.
“Looks like I’ll have to fight it,” Toran said.
“No you can’t,” Doruta said. “We can’t lose you right now.”
“Don’t worry,” Toran replied.
Toran started charging as he kept dodging the lasers. He finally got close to the robot, put his hand on its head, and shot out a gust of wind that blew it away and hit a tree.
“Hitted unknown substance,” the robot said. “No fatal broken parts. Resuming execution.”
Toran got onto a tree, and the other one transformed its hand into a laser blade. It boosted its jetpack and rushed towards Toran. He merely dodged the blade, leaving another trickle of blood on the same cheek.
“Looks like it isn’t fooling around.” Toran said. He jumped off the tree and started charging again. The sword robot fired its jetpacks again right towards Toran, Toran smacked his charging hand at the ground, causing millions of pieces to go out fo their place, a lot hit Toran, but the robot was taking more damage. He did his best to dodge the rocks and caught the robot, which he ground slammed before it could react. The rocks started falling no the top of two of them.
“Hitted unknown sharp substance, suddenly thrown onto the ground by target. Power drive damaged. Currently cannot use any weapons.” The robot said.
“You’re just sprouting your condition, makes it easier for me to destroy you,” Toran thought.
He got the robot and threw it right over at the tree. Then, suddenly, blood trickled over his shoulder. He looked back.
“Target damaging Target Executor No. 001422. No. 019106 reacting to stop it,” The gun robot said.
The robot turned his other hand into a cannon and shot a giant piece of metal that Toran just barely dodged. He started charging, but then his hand was shot, making him lose his power as blood started drifting through his hand as well.
“I told you to run, these guys are too strong for you right now!” Doruta shouted.
“No, I can still do this.” Toran replied.
He sprang forward, without any charging. He grabbed a branch of the tree the gun robot was on, and headbutted it directly no the head, causing to lose his balance. He then kicked its stomach, pushing it away before it could react. He stepped on it as it fell onto the ground.
“Alright, now to attack the other one,” he said. He looked over at the tree it hit, but it was gone. “Where is the other one?”
“Look out!” Doruta said.
He looked back, but it was too late. A sword went right through his left shoulder.
“Power drive rebooted. Commensed action, hit target,” The robot said.
Toran started to fall towards the ground but then, another object pierced his right arm.
“Damaged the target, Pieces broken inside. Currently rebooting, No. 001422 can finish target.” The robot said as it started to glow.
Toran flipped forward into the ground, and then lay there on his back.
“What did I tell you?” Doruta scolded. “You’re about to die!”
